JOB DESCRIPTIONS
Each summer, Pioneer Bible Camp needs approximately 40 summer staff and volunteers each week to assist in the various positions at camp. We are looking for people who love God, have a heart to serve, and desire to spread the Good News in Utah. Summer staff must share the same beliefs as the camp and wholeheartedly agree to PBC’s Statement of Faith.
Program Coordinator
Our Program Coordinators assist the Program Director in leading the schedule for the campers and also encourage and disciple our counseling staff. They may also be involved in skits and leading music. We generally ask former staff to be our PCs.
Catalyst Counselor
Catalyst Counselors lead the Catalyst teens in their daily tasks and invest in them spiritually throughout their time at camp. We look for cheerful servant-minded leaders to fill these roles.
Counselor
Counselors are entrusted with the care of the 6-8 campers in their cabins each week. They oversee the campers in their daily activities, lead them in a daily devotion time, talk one-on-one with each camper, and live exemplary lives before them.
Photographer
The photographer's responsibilities include taking pictures, posting daily pictures on social media, compiling and posting a weekly video, and possibly putting together a summer review video. Some photography/videography experience and training would be helpful but is not required.
Catalyst Teens
Catalyst teens serve behind the scenes in the following areas: kitchen, grounds, housekeeping, and program. Teens also have the privilege to come alongside a counselor as their prayer partner. In addition, they may have the opportunity to co-counsel or join the kitchen staff for a week or two.
Volunteer Positions
We need adults who are interested in serving for a week or two throughout the summer. Come serve as a nurse, kitchen staff, or on projects. Find information on our volunteer page below. Please note that teens need to apply as summer staff above.

Staff expectations
Attend Staff Training week
We would like all staff to attend our Staff Training week at the beginning of the summer. The week of training is invaluable as we cover our policies and procedures, learn staff responsibilities, participate in team building activities, and hear from God’s Word.
Time Commitment
After completing the training week, each staff member is encouraged to participate in one half of the summer’s program. If that time commitment doesn’t work for you, go ahead and apply and we will see if we have a spot for you.
Entire Summer: June 7-August 6
First half: June 7-July 9
Second half: June 7-11, July 12-Aug 6
If for some reason you need to miss a week or two during your selected time period, please let us know during the application process.
