Church Conflict
Facing the Reality of Conflict and Strengthening Your Ministry
Recent findings reveal a striking connection between pastoral conflict and thoughts of leaving the ministry. Among pastors who say they never consider quitting, 63% report at least some conflict in their congregations. That number jumps to 77% for those who’ve considered leaving at least once—and rises further to 91% among those who’ve thought about it fairly often. Similar trends hold for those thinking of leaving their specific congregations, with reported conflict levels increasing from 63% to as high as 95%.
These statistics underscore the prevalence of conflict within churches—and the toll it can take on pastors and their families. If you’re a pastor or church leader seeking biblical ways to navigate church conflict, we invite you to join us!
