complete your application
Thank you for turning in your staff application! Here are the next steps for potentially joining our 2026 Summer Staff!
1. Contact your references
First-time staff:
Contact three references. All references must be adults who are not related to you. One must be your Pastor or Youth Pastor.
Ask each of them to complete a recommendation for you. They can fill it out online at pbcutah.com/staff-reference, email this document to pbcutah@gmail.com, or call Allen at (832) 778-9424.
Returning staff:
Contact two references. All references must be adults who are not related to you. One must be your Pastor or Youth Pastor.
Ask each of them to complete a recommendation for you. They can email this completed document to pbcutah@gmail.com or call Allen at (832) 778-9424.
2. Send us a picture
First-time staff, please email a recent picture of yourself to pbcutah@gmail.com.
3. Fill out your information for a background check.
If you are under 18, please fill out the minor background check here and email it to pbcutah@gmail.com.
If you are 18 or older, we will send you an email from our background check organization with the following email address: message@mobilizemyministry.com. The subject line will read: “Pioneer Bible Camp is considering you for an opportunity.” Please follow the link and submit your information so we can securely run your background check.
If you are returning staff and have already completed a background check, you can skip this step.
4. Complete an interview
Allen Cover will contact you for an interview with him. Please let him know your availability for the phone call.
5. Turn in your contract
Once you receive your contract, fill it out and send the contract back to us. You can either take a picture and email it to pbcutah@gmail.com or mail it to the address on the form.
Once accepted
If your contract is accepted, here are your final steps for preparing for this summer:
1. Make travel plans
If attending Staff Training, please arrive at camp by 11:30am on Monday, June 8th. If flying, book a ticket to the SLC airport and we will provide transportation to and from camp. For specifics on times of arrival and departure, check our staff travel details. Please send travel plans to pbcutah@gmail.com
2. Complete Child Safety Training course
If you will be counseling, co-counseling, or will be in a leadership position this summer, you will receive an email from message@mobilzemyministry.com with a link to online training. The course takes approximately 2 hours to complete with a 25-question quiz at the end. Please note, the training expires after 14 days. Returning staff who have taken the course in the past do not need to repeat the training.
3. Read the staff book
Before the summer starts, read the staff book. We will order and mail books to each of you when your application is completed. If you are coming fewer than 4 weeks, you can buy a book at camp.
4. Prepare devotions
Counselors, you will have 4 nights of devotions for YA weeks and 5 nights for Teen and JH weeks. Prepare 10-minute devotionals from what you have learned from your Bible. Remember the age-group of the campers (as young as 8 yrs old). Catalyst counselors, we will send you a separate book to use in your preparation.
5. Pack
Here’s a packing list for the summer. Please take note that there are some required documents you must bring if you are serving at camp 5+ weeks as a high school graduate. Let us know if you have any questions regarding what to bring.
