Allen and laura Cover
Allen and Laura joined the PBC staff in May of 2023. They are privileged to serve at camp with their four children, Benjamin, Brenna, Andrew, and Emmalyn.
Ministry Focus
The Covers play a vital part in the whole ministry of Pioneer Bible Camp, yet give special attention to the following areas:
Program
Allen’s former program experience gives him great perspective as he leads PBC’s program team.
Discipleship
Allen and Laura are committed to the discipleship of the entire PBC team, but they specifically focus on the program and counseling staff.
Recruitment
As a team, Allen and Laura are over staff recruitment. They travel to several colleges and churches throughout the year.
Music
Allen and Laura use their musical abilities to help with chapel services.
Bio
Allen and Laura met while they were students at Bob Jones University, Allen studying Camp Ministries, and Laura studying Communication. Upon graduation, Allen earned his masters degree in Pastoral Studies. Allen and Laura were married in the summer of 2010. Pursuing camping ministry full time, they moved to southern California, where they completed the Ministry Bound internship program at Ironwood Camp. During their four years there, Allen served as the program director for their teen camp facility, and Laura worked as the assistant to the senior program director.
In 2015, God led their family to Allen’s hometown of Houston, TX, where Allen established a home remodeling company, and they were able to be heavily involved in helping with a church plant in the heart of Houston. God has graciously given them four children, Benjamin, Brenna, Andrew, and Emmalyn.
God clearly led Allen and Laura to re-enter camp ministry when they were presented with the opportunity to serve at PBC. They are trusting the Lord to provide support to meet their family’s financial needs as they serve full time at PBC.
