Joe and Anna Baker

Joe and Anna have served faithfully with Pioneer Bible Camp since 2014. They are privileged to raise their four children (Timmy, Noah, Lydia, and Ethan) at camp.

As the General Director, Joe oversees the entire ministry of camp. However, the Bakers give special attention to the following areas.

Joe’s construction and engineering background is vital to the ministry of PBC. He gives special attention to maintaining the camp property and buildings.

Joe and Anna are committed to the discipleship of the entire PBC team, so they invest their lives in the staff and volunteers.

Anna manages several administrative duties: parent communication, social media, camper registration, and much more.

Joe and Anna use their musical abilities for chapel and for special events. They both sing and play the piano.

Bio

Joe and Anna grew up attending Mount Calvary Baptist Church in Greenville, SC. Joe and Anna made professions of faith at early ages and gave themselves to Christian service while in High School. Joe received a Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering and Anna in Early Childhood Education from Bob Jones University. After graduating, they served an internship at The Wilds Christian Camp in Brevard, NC, were married, and moved to Utah in 2014 where they joined the full-time staff of Pioneer Bible Camp.

The Bakers live on the property at Pioneer Bible Camp year-round where they serve as the General Directors. Being missions supported allows them to be full-time at PBC. Several of their diverse summer responsibilities include singing, playing piano, driving buses, lifeguarding, overseeing maintenance projects, running check-in, and mentoring summer staff. Joe and Anna enjoy spending time with their kids, outdoor activities, and organizing. They are members of Fellowship Bible Church where they are very involved in several behind the scenes ministries. Their earnest desire is to edify Utah churches and equip local believers through the camping ministry of Pioneer Bible Camp.
